Unpacking the mechanics of somatic fascia release, nervous system regulation, and the practice of SloFlow™.
Somatic fascia release is a gentle movement and body-awareness practice. SloFlow™ combines slow movement, supported positions, and focused breathing so you can explore comfortable movement without forcing a particular result.
Not at all. SloFlow™ meets every body exactly where it is. It is a slow, accessible practice without the strain, forcing, or bracing often associated with traditional stretching. Beginners of any age or stage of life are completely welcome.
Our hand-finished cedar blocks provide stable support while you explore pressure, position, breath, and movement. You remain in control and can reduce pressure, change position, or stop at any time.
Some participants use gentle movement as part of their broader wellbeing routine, but SloFlow™ does not diagnose or treat chronic pain. If you have persistent or unexplained pain, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before starting or changing your movement practice.
The practice may create unfamiliar pressure or sensation, but pain is not a goal or proof that a technique is working. Reduce the pressure or stop if you experience pain, numbness, dizziness, or symptoms that concern you.
Choose a frequency that feels manageable and allows you to recover comfortably. Begin gently, follow the class guidance, and speak with a qualified healthcare professional if you are unsure whether the practice is appropriate for you.
Do not assume new or worsening symptoms are a sign of healing. Stop the activity and seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional if soreness is severe, persistent, unusual, or accompanied by pain, numbness, weakness, dizziness, or other concerning symptoms.
